Two Korean meals, two different starting points. Gyojasang x Takumi centers the order on fried chicken with plenty of sides, while my Kim’s So visit brought beef barbecue, spicy chicken and kimchi stew. Use these dish notes to choose the kind of meal you want to share.

Amsterdam · Fried chicken and sharing sides
Gyojasang x Takumi
The chicken flavors ranged from crispy original to sweet-and-spicy, garlic-soy, orange-lemon and chili-garlic-pepper. Japchae, spicy fish cake tteokbokki and mandu gave the table something beyond crunchy chicken. My review also records the all-you-can-eat offer from that visit; check the current terms rather than relying on an older price.

Kim’s So Korean Food Oost
At Kim’s So in Oost, we tried marbled beef with bulgogi broth, glass noodles and oyster mushrooms. Dakgalbi combined gochujang chicken, chewy tteokbokki and melted mozzarella. Kimchi jjigae with pork and tofu added another warming dish, before matcha bingsu to finish.
