A bowl above the shop
Taka Ramen was one of the Amsterdam stops in my ramen coverage. The detail to know before arriving is the setting: the ramen spot is on the top floor of Toko Dun Yong. If you are looking for a restaurant entrance at street level, that makes it a different arrival from a standalone ramen shop.
What I tried
The bowl in my coverage was the Taka tan tan ramen. Tan tan ramen is a useful starting point if you are exploring different styles across the city, and this stop sits alongside Ramen-Ya and Tsumugi in my Japanese food guide. Those entries reflect different dishes I have covered, rather than a numerical ranking of every ramen shop in Amsterdam.
Before you go
My practical arrival tip is to look for the elevator when heading upstairs. Check current opening times before making the trip, and confirm the current menu if you are going specifically for the bowl featured here. For more ideas, the Japanese guide brings together ramen, sushi and handroll stops so you can choose the kind of meal you are in the mood for.
